Senior System Administrator
About The Position
Razor-labs is leading the industry 4.0 revolution by leveraging deep-learning expertise to make machines smarter. The interface between algorithms, a rich technical stack and complex hardware data makes the challenges our super talented engineers face super interesting.
We’re seeking a Senior System Administrator who is interested in taking on DevOps responsibilities to join our growing team. You will manage and automate our edge/on-prem infrastructure, primarily edge devices that collect data and transmit it to our cloud environment.
You will work closely with our Operations team, supporting installation, monitoring, and debugging activities both in the lab and in the field. This role is critical for ensuring high system reliability and streamlined deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Own the lifecycle of our edge infrastructure (mainly Linux-based edge devices)
- Set up, automate, and maintain edge device installations
- Perform debugging, monitoring, and diagnostics for field devices
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Bash scripts for configuration and automation
- Collaborate with the Operations department to support on-site installation, connectivity, and system health
- Conduct laboratory testing of edge devices before field deployment
- Identify and resolve issues related to device connectivity (including cellular modems) and data transmission
Requirements
- At least 6 years of Proven experience as a Linux system administrator
- Proficiency with Bash scripting
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management
- Strong communication skills, especially in cross-functional team environments
- A proactive mindset and problem-solving attitude
- Preferred: Python scripting skills
- Preferred: Experience working with cellular modems and connectivity troubleshooting
- Preferred: Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code practices
